Les tapis imaginés par le designer chinois Jamy Yang pour la collection Transcendent renvoient à l’univers de la science et de la physique, rappelant des espaces multidimensionnels où des forces comme la gravité, le temps et la vitesse transforment, déforment et fracturent la lumière ou la matière en motifs spectaculaires. Les modèles ainsi imaginés représentent des tourbillons de couleur, semblables à des encres marbrées, qui sont ensuite étirés longuement de façon linéaire, pour donner de saisissants effets d’optique.

Le tapis Vortex dans son format ovale est d'une grande force visuelle. Il a été réalisé à la main en laine de NouvelleZélande et soie par les artisans de Tai Ping.

Jamy Yang

Jamy Yang is a veteran of the industrial art scene in China. Having studied and worked in Germany in his youth, his distinctive style merges strict German precision with holistic Chinese inspirations. Working with renowned brands like Hermès, Boeing, Hennessy, Audi, Bosch, Pepsi, Issey Miyake and Tai Ping, Yang Studio’s works range from objects like glasses and suitcases to consumer electronics, home products and even an airplane cabin. For Tai Ping, Yang created the Transcendent collection, a series of designs that nod to multi-dimensional worlds where forces transform, distort and fracture light or matter in dramatic patterns.
