Sutton Place I evokes a grandeur of yore; it reinterprets a 1950s archival Beaux-Arts scroll in silk-accented raised cut wool against a loop pile ground. The resulting effect is part polished, traditional design, part sketch—a nod to the constant evolution of a draft in the making.
The Sutton Place I rug is made from New Zealand Wool and Silk by Tai Ping craftsmen.
