The Callidus Guild collection, designed in handknotted fashion, was inspired by the work of the eponymous workshop and by its creator Yolande Batteau.

Produced in Nepal by Tai Ping's highly skilled artisans, the collection deepens the ethos placed in its design by putting the Tibetan knotted stitch technique in the spotlight.

Solace is an investigation into how subtle shifts can make an impact. Undulating lines appear and disappear in a grid, creating the impression of a pattern from far off, while suggesting a drawing when viewed up close.
Tai Ping is a certified Label STEP Fair Trade Partner, adhering to the comprehensive fair trade standards of this nonprofit organisation.

Solace I is made from Wool & Silk by Tai Ping craftsmen.

Yolande Batteau

Callidus Guild is the vision of Yolande Milan Batteau, a trained and exhibited fine artist who brings decades of aesthetic and decorative skills to the studio. In her work across mediums, Batteau draws inspiration from ancient techniques from around the world, finding new expressions of traditional artforms through iterative experimentation.
